Chrome Extensions are programs that work within Google Chrome to enhance your experience as a user. Here are some of our favorites as well as some workflow tips for using Google Chrome.
Tab Snooze lets you close all - or just one- of your tabs and select a specific time when you want them to reopen. Having extra tabs open slows down your computer's processing speed and the extra clutter can be distracting.
Forest helps you stay on task and on a certain website. Start forest when you are about to do some focused work. If you stay on the site and keep working a tree will grow. If you navigate off the site the tree will die.
Loom is a screencasting app and extension. You can use it right in Chrome or download the desktop version if you want to record other apps besides in your browser.
Mote allows you to leave and listen to voice comments on Google docs, slides, and email.
Tab Groups Putting your Chrome tabs into groups looks like organizing papers in file folder. If you have 4 sites open for one class, give them all the same label and easily hide and show those tabs so you can work on one task at a time.
Mute a Site Right click on the top of the tab you are using and choose "mute site" to silence the notification
Eyedropper lets you perfectly match the color of design elements in something you're creating to an image or other color you want to match with. It provides you with the hex code of the color and you simply use that in your own design.
